Are you struggling to factory reset your Samsung Galaxy A20 or A20S due to a forgotten password? Don't worry, this comprehensive guide is here to help. As with other Android devices, Samsung phones come equipped with built-in Factory Reset Protection (FRP) to safeguard against unauthorized resets. However, if you're unable to recall your Google account password, you may think you're out of luck. Fortunately, it's still possible to bypass FRP on your Samsung A20 or A20S, and that's exactly what this post will cover. Whether you're running Android 11 or Android 12, we'll walk you through multiple methods to easily bypass Samsung A20S FRP, as well as Galaxy A20 FRP bypass, so you can regain control of your device. Learn how to bypass A20 and A20S FRP, remove a Google account, and perform a Samsung A20S FRP bypass with ease, all in one convenient guide.

Part 1. What is the default Android version of the Samsung A20/A20S?

Released in 2019, the Samsung Galaxy A20 and A20S are popular mid-range smartphones within the A-Series lineup, offering impressive features at an affordable price point. Initially running on Android 9 Pie, these devices can be easily updated to Android 10 and 11, ensuring users can enjoy the latest software enhancements. However, like all Android devices from Lollipop (5.1) onwards, the Samsung A20 and A20S come equipped with the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) feature, also known as Android Lock. While designed to protect user data, FRP can sometimes pose a hindrance, preventing users from performing a factory reset if they forget their Google account credentials.

Tips: Are you struggling to access the home screen on your Samsung phone after a factory reset? The Factory Reset Protection (FRP) feature might be standing in your way, but don’t worry, regaining control is easier than you think.

Part 3. How to bypass Samsung A20/A20S Google Account without a computer?

If you're unable to access a computer to utilize tools like Dr.Fone for bypassing FRP on your Samsung phone, don't worry - there's an alternative solution that doesn't require any external software or hardware, aside from a stable Wi-Fi connection. This method allows you to bypass the Android Lock feature directly on your Samsung device, eliminating the need to borrow a computer or navigate complex software installations. While this technique may be more time-consuming and requires attention to detail, it's a viable option for those who need to bypass FRP on their Samsung A20 or A20S without relying on a computer.

  • Step 1. Fire up your locked Samsung phone and tap the Let's Go arrow. Now agree to the Samsung terms and then press Next.
  • Step 2. When the phone asks you to bring your old data, tap “Skip this for now” and click Next. Now connect your locked phone to a Wi-Fi network and then press Next.
  • Step 3. After checking for updates, you'll be asked to draw your current password. Here, click the “Use my Google Account instead” option. Then, click the < icon until you reach the Let's Go screen, and power off your phone.
  • Step 4. Now long-press the Volume Up and Power buttons concurrently to enter Android Recovery mode. Next, select the “Reboot system now” option by pressing the Power button.
  • Step 5. Your phone will reboot and take you to the Let's Go screen again. This time, make an Emergency call of, let's say, 112. Of course, your call won't go through as you don't have a SIM inserted on your phone yet.
  • Step 6. Navigate back to the home screen, click Next, accept the terms, and skip any data update. Then, click Add Network to launch the Samsung keyboard on the network screen, where you'll tap the Settings/Gear icon.
  • Step 7. Click the Keyboard layout and feedback option and then tap Key-tap feedback. Now click Sound and vibration > Answering and ending calls > Answer automatically. Then, tap the Answer automatically option and use your two fingers to select 5 seconds and Customize options. Repeat the procedure until you see a dialog with the App info option. Click it.
  • Step 8. Tap the Settings icon on the Call settings screen and click Block numbers. Then, click the Recent button and long-press the emergency number you dialed initially.
  • Step 9. Long press the Emergency number button on top of the screen and click the Messaging icon. Then, tap the Ellipsis icon in the top-right corner and tap Add or remove people. Next, please enter the contact's name and tap the plus icon to add it.
  • Step 10. Hold down and release the new contact's name, and then tap the Add button on the screen's bottom-left corner. After that, press the Add contact option and add a name and a Gmail address.
  • Step 11. Click the email icon on the contact screen and then tap Skip before clicking the Add an email address button. Now choose the Exchange and Office 365 option, enter the email address on the contact you created, and tap the Manual Setup button. Next, tap Exchange and press Select to select a screen lock type.
  • Step 12. Lastly, navigate back to the network screen and tap Next. Draw your pattern if prompted, and tap Skip on the Google Sign-in screen. And there is that!

Conclusion

There you have it! These two methods should help you bypass FRP on Samsung A20S and A20 models. But as you've seen, bypassing FRP without third-party help is for the techies. So, to avoid all that headache, use Dr.Fone –Screen Unlock (Android) to skip FRP on Android 6 or newer quickly.
